Carbon steel grinding wheels are made from aluminum oxide grain. It is a soft bond for fast stock removal. It can be used with ferrous metals (iron, steel and welds) and low grade stainless steel.
Stainless steel grinding wheels are made from ceramic aluminum oxide grain. This material is a very uniform, high density grain structure that is extremely durable and self sharpening for long life and cooler cut. It has extremely fast stock removal on hard metals with minimal pressure.
Aluminum grinding wheels are made from aluminum oxide grain. It is a soft bond for aggressive removal of material without loading. It can be used with non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, and brass).
Pipeline grinding wheels are made from aluminum oxide grain. It is designed specifically for the pipeline industry. The width of the wheels are 1/8" in thickness.
