Weldfabulous now has the Miller Electric Blue Rage auto darkening helmet # 241458. This is a great looking helmet that Miller has just released. The blue rage helmet is in the Performance series of helmets from Miller Electric. The performance series is the Mid-Range of welding helmets from Miller.
The auto darkening lens is a variablle shade #8 - #13, variable sensitivity and delay controls. There are three independent arc sensors and the helmet weighs only 17 ounces. The lens speed is 1/20,000 second with a TIG rating of (5-Amps and below). The viewing area is 7.22 square inches.
Controls on the lens are analog and not digital. They are located below the lens and provide quick adjustments of 8-13 shade (with a ultra-clear #3 light state), lens sensitivity/grind mode and delay control.
Cover lens with spatter gasket protect the auto-darkening lens. 5 additional outside, and 2 additional inside cover lenses are included. Convenient push buttons release the front cover lens holder to provide easy access for front cover lens changing. This is a great improvement from the previous models!
The auto darkening lens is battery powered with solar-assist for long life (up to 2,000 hours) with no recharging required. Features auto-on/ auto-off circuitry at 15-20 minutes, grind mode and low battery indicator.
